The applicant (customer) may be any legal entity or individual - the manufacturer or its authorized representative.

To begin the conformity assessment process, the customer submits an application containing information about the product and its manufacture. Technical documentation is submitted to the authority along with the application. Depending on the type of product and the requirements established for it, such documentation may include: a description of the products, the manufacturer's quality certificate, passport, instructions, the results of tests conducted by the manufacturer, and internal production quality control documents.

The conformity assessment body analyzes the documentation provided, determines and agrees with the applicant on the list of works necessary to confirm the conformity of the products.
